Today, we’re heading out for home deliveries — bringing fresh craft beer straight from our Oakland brewery to customers around the San Francisco Bay Area. Thanks to a recent feature in the SF Chronicle, we received an incredible number of orders. That means 39 delivery stops today — and a very busy schedule ahead.
The only challenge? It’s going to rain. Rain is great for California, but not exactly ideal for a day spent on the road making beer deliveries.
We’ve just made our first delivery and are reviewing our route. With 39 stops lined up, there’s no time to waste.
When we first launched our taproom and released our very first batch of canned beer, I wanted to see how we could sell beer beyond the taproom. So I made a quick post online — and a friend shared it with a South Bay Facebook community. That single post brought in a wave of orders and helped us connect with local craft beer fans across the region.
At first, I handled deliveries once a week, since I couldn’t drive every day. Eventually, that grew into two delivery days a week, and for a while, it was the perfect rhythm for our small team.
