Dokkaebier Acquires Federation Brewing
We have been working hard over the last few months with something BIG and can finally announce some exciting news!
Dokkaebier has officially acquired Federation Brewing! We will continue supporting Federation Brewing’s local partnerships and workforce and take over the Oakland brewery and taproom operations at 420 3rd St., which will now be under the name Dokkaebier.
“We thank Federation Brewing for giving us the opportunity to cement Dokkaebier’s roots in Oakland. We are proud that our first flagship brewery and taproom will continue to be a space for the underrepresented in our industry,” said our founder and CEO, Youngwon Lee.
“We are excited to join forces with Youngwon and Dokkaebier. Dokkaebier shares our commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the beer industry. They will help extend our legacy as a community-oriented brewery,” said Federation Brewing Founder and Head Brewer, Aram Cretan.
Their mission for inclusiveness aligned with our goals of wanting to bring innovation and much-needed diversity to the craft beer scene by introducing Asian flavors to beer connoisseurs as well as craft beer to the Asian American community.
We can't wait to continue to bring the rich flavors, culture, and heritage of Asia into craft beer. The taproom will stay open as we make some updates to our space – so feel free to swing by and visit us starting today! And stay tuned for updates on our Grand Opening next month!
